Their main influences are Fairweather, Grade, The Promise Ring, The Get Up Kids, Thursday, Jawbreaker and Saves The Day. The band is influenced by many spiritual beliefs, which manifest themselves in their lyrics and musical themes. This was re-released on April 29, 2003, on Drive-Thru Records, with two extra tracks. Their first full-length album, Let It Enfold You, was released on September 7, 2004 on Vagrant Records. It, too, was re-released, with five bonus tracks; three acoustic versions of songs on "Let It Enfold You", a new track named "American Death" and a cover of the song "Institutionalized", which was originally by Suicidal Tendencies. In 2005, the band's web site announced the departure, by mutual agreement, of guitarist Dave Miller. He was replaced by Heath Saraceno. On April 4th, 2006, Senses Fail announced that they had begun pre-production on their next album, and that they would be going into the studio to begin recording on May 1st, with producer Brian McTernan. The band announced on June 16th, 2006 that they had completed recording the album, and that it is currently being mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. The name of the album will be Still Searching, and it is scheduled for release on October 10th. It will include a DVD about the making of the CD.The album was leaked onto the internet in its entirety on September 25th. They played the 2006 Warped Tour, and will play the 2006 international Taste of Chaos Tour. They will begin a headlining tour November 24 in Boston to support the new release, which will last until December 21 in Anaheim, and then resume in the new year.. The title of the song "All the Best Cowboys" is a reference to the title of an episode from the first season of Lost. The song "Bad Reputation" was originally written and performed by Joan Jett.
